A synthetic poison produced by the transmogrification of Velgik finger venom, porthollone, lillit, and borlaberry. Arthig is deadly in quantities over a cupful in most, though tolerances can be built. However, because arthig produces no high, it is not used recreationally and is reserved almost exclusively for assisted suicide, suicide, state executions, and murder. Death from arthig overdose is relatively painless, though fairly slow, with gradual shutting down of bodily functions and a final breath taken anywhere between 8 and 12 hours after ingestion.
Arthig is legal with persmission from a Minister, General, or a licensed physician and can only be synthesized and retailed by licensed, first-rank alchemists.
