Literally translated as "home of operations", the Iskan Al-Trosk refers to the a house, institute, barrack, gymansium, or otherwise residential training facility run by one or multiple al-gar in which al-gan reside while undergoing training. While traditionally all al-trosk were necessarily residential, in the contemporary era, many operational Iskan al-trosk have pivoted to a workday model that allows al-gan to return home or to a seperate dormintory at the end of the day.
Like the term al-gan, despite the decline in use of al-gar, al-trosk has remained prevalent in colloquial Iskan due to its function as a name for all such facilities regardless of their management by a recognized al-gar. As such, to differentiate, sanctioned or Immortan al-trosk are commonly referred to instead as grag-al-trosk.
As of the year 3096, 7,231 al-trosk were operating across Greater Iska, while only 102 grag-al-trosk remained operational compared to a historic height of 10,283 in the year 1834. According to all contemporary data points, there are currently 4 al-trosk currently operational outside of Iska, located in Castia, Moss, and Lustof, the most famous of which is, of course, the Anitch-Mori Al-Trosk in Lhumb, Castia where former Unified General and famed traitor Dunne Volkov was raised under the tutelage of Fyor Shevek, a disgraced, but sanctioned Zugan al-gar.
