Imperial Palace released a statement exclusively to the Castian United Press late last night, announcing the upcoming marriage of Prince Vikram Volkov to socialite and daughter of the Imperial General, Euphorbia Osten. Though the prince's relationship with Osten was well-known, the announcement of both an engagement and wedding ceremony date at once has come as a surprise and an unexpected cause celebre for the CUP and the United Kingdoms at large.


The CUP is proud to be the first to congratulate the prince and soon-to-be princess on their engagement!


The wedding will be held on Qentas at 7 o'clock in the evening on the 20th day of the 3rd month, 3096. This is, of course, roughly one month from today adding yet one more surprise to the announcement. The ceremony will be public with a Traipisee along Moremagden Boulevard and the Commitment occuring in the center of the ancient Ghonis Shiffigi. While the ceremony will be public, the subsequent reception will be held privately and by invitation only in the Palace Ourgiette.


Prior to the ceremony, a public festival day will be held in Qentas and sponsored by the King Maathen, himself, providing free and discounted food, drink, and world-class entertainment for all who are able to access the island.


We anticipate ferry fares and private charters to sell out quickly. The CUP suggests making arrangements as soon as possible for this once in a lifetime event!


In honor of the prince and future king's marriage, we have worked tirelessly through the night to prepare this Special Edition of the Castian United Press devoted entirely to the Prince, his lovely fiance, their upcoming nuptuals, and their importance to this united Empire.
